Louis XV, Paris ca. 1750. The movement signed GILLE L'AINE A PARIS (Pierre II. Gilles-Quentain, maître 1746).

Wood, lined with green horn and gilt bronze. The case, glazed on three sides. Relief-decorated brass dial with 24 enamel cartouches and 2 blued hands. Fine movement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Gilt mounts and applications.

36 x 18 x 98 cm.

Some restoration and servicing required.
