A GOLD, ENAMEL AND DIAMOND-SET WATCH WITH ASSOCIATED GOLD AND ENAMEL CHATELAINE
CIRCA 1780

gilded cylinder movement with gilt three-arm balance, signed Gregson à Paris, enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic five-minute divisions, aperture for winding, gold stylised hands, gold case with polychrome enamel painted scene depicting a winged nymph tending an altar of love embellished with diamonds, seed pearls and draperies, blue, black and white enamel striped bezels, with associated paste-set chatelaine with white and blue enamel panels with carved wax scenes, the chatelaine terminating with four pendant chains, two with tassels, one with hard stone fob, one with a key which has a decoratively engraved metal mount, with associated fitted leather case
diameter 51mm.

Condition Report:
The front bezel enamel has been restored with soft enamel. There are some repairs to the enamel on the back beneath the stem.
The dial is good order, there is a possible repair to the hands, the hour hand has possibly been replaced.
The watch has seized and cannot be wound.
The associated chatelain's ivory panel are dirty with dust and there are some shallow dents in places to the gold back panels
