Half green morocco over green cloth covered boards, spine with raised bands in six compartments, second and fourth gilt-lettered, others with multiple gilt rules and filigree centerpieces, top edge gilt, other uncut, marbled endpapers; minor shelfwear. In quarter green morocco clamshell case.
First edition, deluxe copy, from Grey's library with his blindstamp. While Zane is perhaps best remembered for his record-breaking catches in the Pacific and elsewhere, he also enjoyed freshwater fishing, and these Tales recounts his expeditions in British Columbia, on the Delaware River, and off the West Coast of the United States.
