GROUPING FROM IRWIN KARMEL, 681ST GLIDER BATTALION, 17TH AIRBORNE DIVISION

Fine grouping of materials from the military service of U.S. soldier Irwin Karmel, 681st Glider Field Artillery Battalion, 17th Airborne Division, including: green paratrooper garrison cap, 10.75 in. long x 5 in. tall, green wool construction, featuring circular Airborne (Glider) Insignia and red braid piping around the side panels. Leather sweatband bears the name "KARMEL" written in black ink. Moth nips, minor staining, else fine. Also sold with a boxed Good Conduct medal with ribbon bar and lapel pin, Karmel's Corporal insignia, multiple guidebooks and collections of postcards, and much more. Should be seen.
