Presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 1972 and in London in the same year. It was the first Citroën realized in collaboration with Bertone. The design was signed by Marcello Gandini and some of his stylistic features will then be reported on the subsequent Citroën BX. The car, initially called only "GS", is a two-door coupé in 2+2 configuration. Maintaining the unchanged length, it's 6 cm wider and 2 cm lower than the standard GS.
