The photo depicts the plaster model on which the designer, probably Giugiaro himself, specifies every detail. From an analysis of the color a first detail emerges: the dark elongated triangle on the front side panel beside the bonnet is orange exactly as it will appear on the future first series of the GTV Junior and on the Caimano. From the first sketches, the car appears very close to its final shape. Details such as the retractable headlights or the doors extended towards the tail were soon replaced by more conventional solutions; but one of them remained on all the prototypes: the engine bonnet surmounting the lower frame of the windshield. A detail to which Giugiaro held much but which would have been flatly rejected by the Alfa Romeo technicians who understood neither the aesthetic modernity nor the aerodynamic function.
