Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Guangxu famille rose porcelain Cong vase. Thick potted, squared body, with circle opening mouth and base, raised on round shallow foot. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in pale green under glazed base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. Essentially tubes with a square cross-section and a circular hole, having rib molded corners in form of a traditional hair pin along the sides stacked as modules, one atop another, among flowers blooms, fresh green foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Enclosed with dense of floral diaper surrounding Bajixiang symbols inside ruyi shaped cartouches on yellow base ground color. The shape of the zong with its square and circular shape could be interpreted as the unity of heaven and earth where the square represents the earth and a circle represents the heaven.

Mark on base, a six blue script characters reign mark, Guangxu Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
