GUANYIN

SCULPTURE: Guanyin on a lotus base, Asia / China, bronze, brown and gold patina, retrospectively marked with characters on the reverse (Xuande 1426-1435 大明宣德年製). Guanyin standing with a slight smile and a contemplative lowered gaze, wearing richly moving and decorated robes. One of the most revered figures in East Asian Buddhism, symbolising compassion. H. 45.5 x W. 20 x D. 18 cm. (Partially rubbed).

SKULPTUR: Guanyin auf Lotussockel, Asien / China, Bronze, braun und golden patiniert, rückseitig mit Schriftzeichen retrospektiv gemarkt (Xuande 1426-1435 大明宣德年製). Leicht lächelnde und mit kontemplativ gesenktem Blick stehende Guanyin mit reich bewegtem und dekoriertem Gewand. Eine der am meisten verehrten Figuren des ostasiatischen Buddhismus, die für Mitgefühl steht. H. 45,5 x B. 20 x T. 18 cm. (Partiell berieben).
