GUISAN HENRI: (1874-1960) Swiss General during WWII. Last officer to be appointed General and Switzerland´s most famous soldier. A very fine A.L.S., `Gen. Guisan´, Lausanne, 6th November 1953, to Monsieur Scherz, in French. The card bears the printed heading ''Le Général Guisan'' and his address at ''Verte Rive -Pully'' and the street name with his same name ''Av. Général Guisan, 117''. Guisan suggests a meeting date and time to his correspondent at his home `for the signature of 300 volumes´. Adding at the conclusion his telephone number. A very cleanly written message. Accompanied by the original printed stationery envelope, addressed in his hand, postmarked and stamped. VG
