Technique: Etching on Paper

Inscription: Lower middle signed: "Pietro da Cortona inv et del:", "Gius Zocchi sc/The JUDGEMENT of HERCULES/After an Original Drawing of Pietro da Cortona./T.Bradford Fleet Street, Excudit.".

Date: c. 1767

Description: The depiction follows a model by Pietro da Cortona and shows the hero sitting in the Voedergrund with a club in his left hand. Sheet from the so-called "Luti Collection", a series of 30 etchings after old master drawings from the collection of the Florentine artist Benedetto Luti.
