“We have been collectors for 20 years. We are so privileged to be at a point in life where we can share and indulge our passion for design through PDA Gallery. The narratives surrounding Italian radical, postmodernism and avant-garde design were so fascinating. As the years have gone on, we have focused almost exclusively on Sottsass, Pesce, and other Italian masters. Finding and riding the line between art and design is what really excites us. We collect what we love but we have a few rules. Every piece must be out of production, unique or extremely early. Most importantly, every piece must invoke emotion on sight. At the end of the day I think we
love extremes. We love the austerity of early modernism, the grandeur of French and Italian Art Deco, and the fun and experimentation in Italian radical design. The mix is everything.

Oh Gaetano! The last of the Italian masters. The world is so fortunate to have rediscovered him in recent years. What an incredible time to be embracing imperfect design in a deeply troubled world. His recent popularity - to us anyway - is a collective need to find beauty in chaos, beauty in imperfection, to try to make sense of it all or to just embrace the incoherence. He gave a new lens through which to view the world and for that we are eternally grateful.” – Kelly and Mike Mahigel, Owners of PDA Gallery, Naples, Florida.
