Frieze; Gandhara. Green shale. Dimensions: 10 x 60 x 4,5 cm; 2,5 x 60,5 x 11,5 cm (stand) Acquired in 2014, from English collection before 1980. Frieze made in green shale in which the sculptor has rhythmically structured an alternation between columns and scrolls that host anthropomorphic representations, which are complex to identify due to the passage of time. However, despite this, the piece contains the dynamic and mobile element so characteristic of the pieces of this culture, driven by the rhythm of the structural composition of the piece.
