A rare gargoyle depicting a imaginary figure with large nose, bulging eyes and an unusual hairdo, carved in ocre-red sandstone. Due to its small size, it came most likely from a central water fountain, as could be found in medieval convents. Portugal. Romanesque era. 12th century.
