Exhibition: Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair, Brick Lane, London, 2007 Note: The Art Car Boot Fair, a twist on the traditional English car boot fair, allows artists to sell works from the boot of a car. Turk used the brief literally and chose to sell a collection of thirteen second-hand car boots signed and dated in flamboyant ink. Cars as a symbol of class, social status and wealth, become a null object when material parts are divided and hung as empty symbols.
