Geert Vrijdag trained at the Academy of Visual Arts in Tilburg and the Academy for Industrial Design in Eindhoven. He painted exclusively abstract work from a meditative attitude, without any preconceived idea or image and without devised plans. “From the silence of the white surface we come into contact with movement, color and shape. ”
His work can be found in private collections and in those of companies and institutions.
After his death in 1999, a gallery was set up next to his home where his work is shown.
Since 1988 he has exhibited several times throughout the Netherlands and his work was on display at the European Fine Art Fair (Tefaf) in Maastricht.
