Condition Report:
Brooch stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Ring stamped 585 for 14 carat gold. Ruby in ring purplish red of medium strong saturation, heavily included, reflective inclusions, fingerprints and clouds, small chips and nicks. Ruby in brooch estimated to weigh approximately 8.00 - 11.00 carats, slightly brownish red of medium saturation, heavily included, surface reaching inclusions with resulting cavities and fissures, crystals, fingerprints, chips. Emerald slightly bluish green of medium saturation, heavily included, surface reaching inclusions. Cultured pearls of cream body colour with green and rosé overtones, light crazing and wrinkled skins, pearls sewn, remnants of glue visible on the reverse, with good lustre. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, on average H-I colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Diamonds in the ring estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.50 - 2.50 carats, on average K-L colour, SI-I clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Scuffs and scratches to the metal consistent with normal wear. In good condition. Brooch measuring approximately 80 x 30mm. Total gross weight approximately 44 grams.
