Gemstone: Ceylon Sapphire - 2.89 Cts. Sir Lanka This incredible gemstone is a "Ceylon Sapphire" from Sri Lanka. It exhibits the iconic rich medium-blue color which is coveted by collectors and admires alike. This fabulous stone features a classic oval shape with a mixed cut. The crown has been cut with brilliant facets, while the deep pavilion offers step facets. The stone is well cut and displays vibrant scintillation with a nicely balanced and saturated body color. This noteworthy gem also appears to be unheated, as the internal silk and crystals are still intact. These beautiful inclusions are slightly visible, but they just add to the overall story of how this particular stone was formed.
