Gemstone: Ceylon Sapphire - 4.79 Cts. Sri Lanka (Ceylon) Hailing from storied Sri Lanka (Ceylon), this magnificent Sapphire stands as a paragon of luxury and natural beauty. The admirable 4.79-carat gemstone boasts a highly saturated blue hue, for which the material is revered. This fabulous stone features a classic oval shape with a mixed cut. The crown has been cut with brilliant facets, while the deep pavilion offers step facets. The stone displays excellent brilliance and vibrant scintillation with a nicely balanced and saturated body color. This noteworthy gem also appears unheated, as the internal silk is visible and still intact, which helps scatter light, creating a more visually attractive specimen. Additionally, the slightly included Sapphire exhibits these admirable internal inclusions, some surface-reaching, that further attest to the stone's natural origins, along with accompanying GIA Report #1156924684.
