Gemstone: Hessonite Garnet - 4.37 Cts. Sri Lanka This Garnet is of the Grossular variety and of the Hessonite type. This particular variety of Garnet is known for its varying shades of reddish hues. This stunning oval shaped stone displays an incredible reddish-orange hue which is considered a "cinnamon stone." The stone lights up with intense scintillation due the excellent cut and polish. The crown features brilliant cuts, while the pavilion has step cuts. The viewer is struck by the stone's beauty and highly saturated body color which displays intense flashes of red. There are some visible inclusions, which is extremely common, and there is one tiny nick to the girdle. This stone is in great condition and is accompanied by a GIA Certificate (#6194887105).
