Gemstone: Opal - 11.45 Cts. Ethiopia This offering of a faceted "Crystal Opal" is not as common as Opal cabochons due to the characteristics of the material. The whopping 11.45 carat Opal features a round shape with brilliant facets. The main body color of this unique gem is a slightly pink opaque hue. The almost clear body color allows for the stone's innate "play-of-color" to take center stage. The stone lights up with intense fire as it flashes green, blue, red, pink, yellow and purple. This incredible gem is eye-clean and in pristine condition, except for one tiny nick to the culet. This example was photographed on a black background to highlight the fire, but the stone is primarily opaque. Measurements: 15.94 x 11.61 mm, 11.45 cts.
