[ translate ]

USA / Italy, 1988-1990
sterling silver, enameled sterling silver, enameled stainless steel

12¾ h × 5¾ w × 3¾ d in (32 × 15 × 10 cm)

Impressed manufacturer's mark to each example ‘Tiffany & Co Sterling 925 Made in Italy’. 174.08 ozt (gross weighable)

smallest: 3½ h × 2⅛ w × 1 d in (9 × 5 × 3 cm)

Condition: General wear is evident throughout, including enamel losses and flaking to the clear coats, which has caused tarnishing to some pieces. The T-rex acrobat has bent rings that do not allow the posts to properly nest into the back of the T-rex. Neither of the pins align on the horse that stands on a pedestal. The roller-skating bear’s wheels are bent. The carousel horse has corrosion to its base along its post, caused by a rusty screw from the underside. The snake charmer does not properly stand up. Each weightlifting gymnast is missing a moderate amount of enamel throughout, and one is missing a base that would allow it to stand up vertically. The jack-in-the-box has lifting to its clear coat. The set of five monkeys show enamel flaking on some, one damaged umbrella, one damaged feather, and one monkey that has lost one of his hands. Overall, set presents well.

Provenance: Acquired directly from Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship by the present owner
