It is a satirical vision of the science of genetic engineering of crops, which was a hot topic when the artwork was made. The sub-title 'the flowers of romance' was also the title of a album by the rock band 'Public image Ltd.' The artwork is presented behind glass in a solid white wooden box frame. I am a painter, printmaker, and mosaic-maker based near Cambridge, U.K. My work is full of humour and surprises, but also addresses serious subjects.
