Georg Jensen Sterling Centerpiece Bowl, Cherry 501

A rare Danish sterling silver centerpiece bowl designed and made by Georg Jensen. Large oval handled "Cherry" bowl, on a faceted oval base with beaded rim having two upswept handles with three stylized berries / cherries on each handle. Signed on the underside base: with the maker's mark used 1925-1932, Sterling 501, Denmark, additionally stamped with the GI 925 mark used 1915-1930. No monograms. Measures 14.25" long over handles, 8" deep, 5.75" high. Weighs 1499 grams (48.19 troy oz).NOTE: This is a design by Jensen from a brief period 1925-1926 when he lived in Paris.CONDITION: Excellent, does not appear to have ever been used.
