George Arnold - Chief Yeoman Warder of the Tower of London, in this lot is his Medal Group and miniatures, comprising WWII Defence and War, Elizabeth II Coronation medal, Army Long Service and Good Conduct medal, and the Meritorious Medal (7255292 W.O.CL.I G.A.Arnold. K.R.R.C), his uniform bullion badges, handmade and machine made, various photographs, Newspaper clippings, and magazine of which he appears, George Arnold became a Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London in 1945, moving to Devereux Tower in 1947, where he became Gaoler, in 1955 he went to live with his wife in 5 Tower Green, (this is where Lady Jane Green was kept in the attic before she was beheaded), later becoming Chief Yeoman Warder, retiring in 1965, moving and spending his retirement in Scarborough, sadly passing in 1983 (parcel)
