Oil on paper laid down on board attached to a wooden panel. The paint layer is stable. A layer of surface dirt. Varnish appears yellowed and glossy. Scattered retouchings along the edges some of which have visibly discoloured especially in the lower left quadrant. An old crease approximately an inch from the left hand edge running from the top to the area of trees. Few minor pin hole size marks in the lower left quadrant. Several losses to the frame.
