TLS signed “George,” one page, 7 x 10, Republican National Committee letterhead, November 29, 1973. Letter to W. Clement Stone, in part: "Just a quick note to say that the New Trier Republican organization sent in the $1,000 to the Republican National Committee—all made possible by you, Many, many thanks." In fine condition. After Richard Nixon won a landslide victory in the 1972 presidential election, he appointed Bush as chair of the Republican National Committee. In that position, he was charged with fundraising, candidate recruitment, and making appearances on behalf of the party in the media.
