'PUNCH', A PUG
Inscribed on mount 'Pug, Lord Willoughby', oil on board
35.5cm diameter
Estimated at £2,000 - £3,000
Condition report:
Seen under U/V - extensive overpainting throughout, including to face, dabs to neck, large swathes to chest and body. The diagonal brown part of background is completely overpainted so could be a later addition.
There is a gold metallic shimmer to some areas, although this could be from the gold mount.
There is a light grainy-ness to much of the painted area.
Please note there are some marks on the inside of the glass in the photos.
Not seen outside of frame.
