George Elmer Browne Impressionist Beach Painting

Impressionist depiction of a group of people huddled by boats near a docks along a sandy shoreline. Browne studied at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Cowles School of Art in Boston before going to Paris to study under Jules Lefevbre and Tony Robert-Fleury.

Signature: Signed "Geo Elmer Browne" lower right corner, plaque marked "George Elmer Browne 1871-1946" on front of frame, label marked "Figures at Shore" on verso .
Condition: Appears to have an unfinished edge to the upper right corner, small discoloration to sky, otherwise good condition.
