British, mid 18th century, dense figured mahogany throughout, brush slide, central valence drawer, engraved brasses, oak drawer linings, inlaid cabinet door with compass star, 30-1/2 x 35 x 20 in.

Condition Report: good integrity overall, brasses replaced, minor cracks and finish distress to top, scattered molding losses and repairs including at drawer lips, some warping at brush slide and lacking one brass pull, inlay losses at compass star, original feet with scattered cracks and repairs at facings, area of loss at one front facing, a fine desk in need of some cosmetic repairs
