An 18th century English George II Period secretary bookcase. Mahogany construction featuring an upper bookcase section with dentil molded pediment crown over two doors with shaped raised panels and adjustable interior shelving on a slant top base with fold down writing surface which opens to reveal a fitted interior with stationary compartments and small drawers around a central document door, two short and three long dovetailed lower drawers and shaped bracket feet. Older finish with wear, minor glued repairs, some warpage to doors and lid. 42 x 22 x 94" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-4,000
