British, mid 18th century, shepherd and shepherdess, with castle in the background and sheep, rabbits and a spotted dog in the foreground, wool tent stitch with silk embellishments on linen, 15 x 13-1/2 in.; probably 18th century black painted frame with carved and gilt sand panel liner, 20 x 18 in. - Provenance: Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey
