George III Inlaid Oak Chest of Drawers with Hidden Drawer
circa 1800, pine secondary, light and darkwood inlays, banded top with applied molded edge, fretwork frieze pulls-out to reveal a hidden long-drawer, the case with three over four graduated lipped drawers with barber pole and banded inlays, flanked by fluted quarter columns, flush sides on shaped bracket feet.
49 x 40.25 x 20.75 in.
Later pulls with drilled holes; surface wear and rubbing to the finish; old indents and scratches; shrinkage cracks to left side of case; rear feet missing glue block supports.
