A George III mahogany secretary bookcase, early 19th century, the dentil molding above a pair of astragal molded doors, enclosing eight short adjustable shelves, above two long drawers over a central kneehole with pair of cupboard doors, flanked by two short drawers to either side. The second long drawer fitted with an inset gilt tooled red leather adjustable ratcheted reading ledge and two enclosed compartments to either side.
Dimensions:Height 94 1/2in; width 56 1/2in; depth 28in.
Condition Report: In three sections. Structurally sound. Typical age cracks, shrinkage and minor movements to some veneers and molding. General marks, wear, scuffs, Surface scratches and small losses throughout. No key.
