George III Style Mahogany Chest-on-Stand

The rectangular hinged top on conforming case with frieze drawer, with brass escutcheon and carrying handles, on stand centered by shell motif raised on cabriole legs ending in paw feet. Height 40 1/2 inches, width 50 1/4 inches, depth 24 3/4 inches.

Condition
Generally good condition. The lid considerably warped on right side and now seperating in back right corner. The top with areas of restoration and patches. With age cracks throughout, as to be expected, including to front right corner. With further minor losses to veneer primarily along the edges, and further patch repairs. The drawer slightly out of frame on the left side, a small loss to molding on front left corner.
