English Georgian tortoiseshell tea caddy, pagoda form with silver metal cartouche to lid and escutcheon to body, opens to blue velvet-lined lid and bisected interior with two tortoiseshell inner lids. 5" H x 7 3/4" W x 4 3/4" D. Early 19th century.

Condition Report: Minute scattered age splits and losses, largest measuring 1/8" x 1/4". Scattered minute areas of repair to lid corners, largest area measuring 1/4" x 3/4". Remnants of foil lining to interior. Later added felt lining to underside.
