We believe the finial to be a replacement. Generally the teapot is worn with a myriad of pinprick dents throughout. The crest is worn. There are signs of repair to the inside at the joint of the handle and the body. Hallmarks are clear on the base. There are bends to the tip of the spout. Knock to the top of the handle. Dents to the main part of the handle. Overall worn and neglected.
