Regency era mahogany mechanical desk, in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster and London, having an adjustable slanted document surface with a pull out writing surface with tooled leather and single drawer, the area under the writing surface fitting with inlaid alphabetical storage compartments with two concealed drawers; rising on reeded legs with casters. The lock marked J. Bramah 124 Piccadilly. Approx. h, 36", w. 43.75", d. 26.5".
