George Luks Circus Scene Painting

Illustrative painting depicting a young boy in bandages and seated on a trunk frightened by a large clown dressed in large puff pants. Luks studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts before travelling through Germany, France, and England. When he returned to the United States, Luks worked as an artist as an artist for Philadelphia newspapers and sent to Cuba as a war artist. Luks also taught at the Art Students League.
