George Rodrigue (1944-2013) - Unplugged and let loose (Ship to New York)

[ translate ]

This work is a special version of "Blue Dog" by George Rodrigue.
Beautiful, eye-catching wooden frame (color-coordinated in blue) . The striking edging of the yellow passepartout stands out in particular, as it fits seamlessly onto the print. This creates a very unique effect on the actual work of art.

About the artist:
Born and raised in Cajun Country in Louisiana, USA, artist George Rodrigue depicted on his canvas what he feared was his dying heritage - including land, people, traditions and mythology. As he often explained, he wanted to "interpret Cajun culture graphically" to preserve it from a progressive world.
Rodrigues' art studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles produced one of the greatest success stories in American art. In the early 1990s, his Blue Dog Series, based on the French-Cajun legend of the loup-garou, catapulted him to worldwide fame, while his somber, Renaissance-esque landscapes evolved into robust modern masterpieces.
