Edward Viners for John Wanamaker's, Sheffield, 1950
Consisting of: a coffeepot, teapot, two-handled sugar bowl, waste bowl, and creamer; of an elongated body with flared opening to a gadroon-formed rim and forming a molded base with fluted bands flanking an unmonogrammed cartouche in the lower segment. The first two with butt-hinged lids and ebony mounted finials and handles; the third and fifth with applied drawn handles. Underside of each impressed with maker, Sheffield, assaying, and date hallmarks with retailer, metal purity, MADE IN ENGLAND, and model letter. Abrasion to underside of teapot flared opening; minor indentation to sugar and waste bowls. All pieces with minimal scratching and tarnish.
