George and Barbara Bush
Four items:
Color semi-glossy 8 x 10 photo of George and Barbara Bush after their time in the White House, inscribed in the lower border in a calligraphic hand, "To Joyce & Ken Browne, with best wishes,” and signed in blue felt tip by Barbara Bush and in black felt tip by George Bush. Typed notation on reverse indicates that the photo was received "from the Bush family in Houston 12/6/05." In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing.
Three TLSs from Barbara Bush, with one as First Lady of the United States. The letters, each one page, approximately 6.5 x 8.5, date to 1988, 1990, and 1996, and are all addressed to Ken and Joyce Browne. Bush expresses her appreciation for their letters and campaign support, adding thoughtful postscripts to each letter. A pair of Bush 1988 campaign pins are attached to the letter dated August 30, 1988. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by an original mailing envelope, and two unsigned color glossy photos of George and Barbara Bush.
