From the Deluxe Edition of l' Estampe Moderne. Very scarce!

With a remarque lower right.

Plate-signed on the left border.

L'Estampe Moderne's blind stamp on the bottom right corner.

Not numbered.

Dimensions:
+ Size of the sheet: 53. 7 x 39. 5 cm / 21. 1 x 15. 5 in.
+ Size of the image: 32,5 x 25,5 cm / 12. 8 x 10 in.

Condition: In overall good condition, with some soft handling creases and minor folds at the edges and some visible discoloration stains in the margins due to framing (please check pictures) . One tiny part missing on the lower right corner. Some residual adhesive marks on the back not visible from the front. Image very clean otherwise, with bright colors.

Not unlike the Maitre de L'Affiche series, L'Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897-99, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.

As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
