Georges Jouve 1910-1964 Abstract Ceramic Sculpture

Georges Jouve (French, 1910-1964). A modernist mid 20th century French ceramic art pottery statue. Features a sculpted form top in a lavender plum hue, with yellow speckles, and the bottom half having a yellow ground with cheerful orange swirls, accented by lines of navy blue through the middle. Signed JOUVE lower right corner, with artist monogram. Gallery has not been provided with any additional documentation of provenance.

Dimensions: 13 X 12.5 X 4.5 in.

Condition: Good overall condition with average surface wear, having a flea bite size loss to edges on top. Estate fresh to the market.
