A George III English tea caddy, late 18th / early 19th century. Rectangular form, partridge wood / partridgewood tea caddy box having satinwood inlays depicting shell forms on the hinged lid and front face. Additional satinwood and ebonized string inlay decorate the borders. The interior of the hinged lid lined with marbleized paper. Interior lid, lock with key. Measures 4.5" wide, 3-5/8" deep, 4.5" high.
