Georgian gold cased amethyst pendant

A late Georgian gold cased foil back amethyst pendant.

Length 5.5cms. 12.5gms.

Condition Report:
Surface scratches and minor marks.
Base metal replacement surmount.
Damages to the mount just below the surmount, soft solder visible, small section believed to show base metal core.
Amethyst are foil back and appear a fairly well matched moderately pinkish purple.
Amethyst vary slightly in size.
Estimated dimensions of pear-shape amethyst to the right of the front-facing image 14.2 by 11mms.
