Beautiful and very exclusive Dutch design hanging lamp, a real eye-catcher! !

Posthuma brothers Archie & Rob Posthuma were masters of mid-century lamps with spheres. This beautiful hanging lamp is a Gepo classic and produced in the 1970s/1975s in Amsterdam.

The name 'Gepo' comes from a combination of 'Gebroeders Posthuma'

The metal ball lamp is placed in the middle of a chrome-plated tube frame. Like a real acrobat, the sphere can rotate 360 degrees in the frame. The lamp is therefore also called the trapeze lamp.

On the inside of the sphere there is a large cylindrical knob with which the sphere can be loosened or tightened in the frame. The rotating function works excellently. The sphere can easily handle all positions.

This space age designer has a pull rod and is therefore height adjustable. The clever design makes the bottom of the frame useful as a handle for the pulling mechanism.

Diameter sphere: approximately 25 cm
Depth bulb: approximately 22 cm
Trapeze frame: approximately 35 cm (from bottom to top)
Trapeze frame: approximately 30 cm (from left to right)

The lamp has been completely taken apart, cleaned and rewired. Then neatly reassembled. The lamp is in good vintage condition with signs of wear commensurate with its age. Photos are part of the description

Lamp will be carefully packaged and shipped by registered and insured mail
