Gerrit Nijland (Rotterdam 12th March 1931) Dutch painter has had lessons from Simon Kramer, an impressionist from Laren. That Nijland is no stranger is evident from “annuaire international des ventes peintures er sculpture”, a yearbook for the art connoisseur, in which his work and name appear. His education is as captivating as it is strange. After residing in Paris for years, he moved to America. After several exhibitions in New York where his works were bought by museums and he moved to Australia and new Caledonia and in 1975 he returned to the Netherlands. He mainly paints impressionistic with a special attention to detail. The painting will be carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
