German Bronze-Mounted Drinking Horn
fourth quarter 19th century, supported by a female figure on a circular base, the fittings ornamented with engine turning, the horn cup with an angel knop, the engine-turned bezel supporting molded swags of grapes with a molded acorn-shaped finial on the tip.

Provenance: Estate of Victor and Marie Cascio, Monroe, Louisiana.
Condition Report: The covered top, made of horn with a brass surround, has a chip and some abrading to edge from friction with brass. Brass fitting is dented on one side. The hands on the bronze cupid finial have been repaired (soldered). The horn has three vertical cracks on one side and two small losses at edge from where the bronze swag was reaffixed with a nail. Bronze figures and mounts exhibit minor accretions and oxidation. In overall good condition. Condition is commensurate with age and use.
