German Drilling

[ translate ]

German Drilling, maker unknown, in 16x16/8.8mm Nitro. The barrels measure 26-3/4'' with claw scope mounts. The Nitro 16 gauge barrels, which are both choked close to full, have very light surface bore pitting, and the rifle barrel appears clean with crisp rifling. The shotgun barrel flats and rifle barrel are fully proof-marked and stamped ''NITRO'', and made of Krupp steel. The round receiver is heavily engraved with Stag and Roebuck game scenes. The stock is meticulously inlaid to the receiver, having a side safety and top barrel selector. The stock has a long tang round knob pistol grip, cheek piece, and ends in a horn checkered buttplate. The narrow forearm has an engraved release lever. The stock and forearm show handling wear, and the forearm checkering is worn but with no major cracks or problems. Although the drilling was designed as a ''Fur and Feather'' gun, this may make a useful wild boar alternative in the classic German tradition. Serial # 8704. Due to changing New York State regulations, all firearms sold, (regardless of age), must be shipped to an FFL dealer, or have a NICS check performed for on-premises pickups.
