German Fire Brigade Parade Dress Dagger, interesting pre-Third Reich period dress dagger, with leather covered grip with wire binding, silvered patterned pommel, cross guard with fire helmet and crossed fire axes to the central cartouche. Housed in leather scabbard with silver plated mounts which have a nice patina. Early type straight blade which is etched with floral designs and fire brigade motifs to the centre. No makers marks. Blade 33 1/2 cms, overall 48 1/2 cms.
